Apple & Berry Salted Caramel Crumble

This crumble topping has the most exquisite flavour. It’s rich and has a gorgeous soft caramel flavour. It is also wholesome and packed with seeds that give it a delicious texture.

Ingredients

1 kg apples, peeled and sliced

1 tablespoon sugar

½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

¾ cup Salted Caramel DIY Balls Mix

¾ Oats Plus

100g butter, melted

1 ½ cups frozen blackberries

Fresh cream to serve (optional)

Instructions

Place the apples in a large pot with ½ cup of water, sugar and cinnamon.

Bring to a boil and then simmer with a lid slightly ajar for 10 minutes until tender but still holding their shape.

Allow the apple to cool for at least 30 minutes before using.

Preheat oven to 180 degrees.

Combine the Salted Caramel DIY Balls Mix with the Oats Plus in a bowl. Pour over the butter and mix really well.

Spoon the apples into an ovenproof dish. Dot the berries amongst the apple slices. Spoon the crumble mixture over the top.

Place in the oven and bake for around 30 minutes until golden brown.
