Baked Brie with Fig & Walnut Jam – The Carefillery

Baked Brie with Fig & Walnut Jam

This delicious-shared snack will bring a wow-factor to the table. The jam is a gorgeous homemade element but is very simple to make.

Overview

  • 30 min
  • Serves 6-8
  • Easy

Ingredients

4 Gourmet Figs, diced

1/2 cup water

1 teaspoon diced fresh rosemary leaves

1 tablespoon honey

Pinch chilli flakes (optional)

Grind cracked black pepper

Pinch salt

1/2 cup Walnuts, roughly chopped

250g Brie wheel

Instructions

1

Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

2

Place the figs, water, rosemary, honey, pepper and salt in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and then simmer for 5 minutes until only a quarter of the liquid remains. Stir through the walnuts. Leave to sit for 5 minutes.

3

Place the Brie in a medium oven-proof dish, ideally the one you’ll be serving it in. If you’ll be transferring to another dish or platter, use baking paper underneath to help you move it once baked.

4

Pile the fig and walnut mixture on top of the cheese. Bake for 15 minutes.

5

Serve immediately with crackers or bread.
