  • Easy

Ingredients

1 ¼ cups flour

½ teaspoon salt

Generous grind black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

40g Natural Almonds, finely chopped

2 tablespoons Hemp Seeds (or Sesame Seeds)

½ cup finely grated parmesan cheese

½ cup grated cheddar cheese

40g butter, melted

80ml cold water

Instructions

1

Preheat oven to 180 degrees.

2

Place the flour, salt, pepper, almonds and hemp seeds in a large bowl. Mix well. Add the cheese and mix thoroughly. Create a well in the centre and add the butter and water. Use a spatula to bring the mix almost together. Lightly knead the dough and form a ball.

3

Use hands to roll the dough into a log that is around 7cm in diameter. Wrap in baking paper or place inside a CareFillery bag and seal tightly. Chill in the fridge for one hour.

4

Cut ½ cm slices and place on a lined baking tray. Bake for 15-17 minutes until golden. Cool on wire rack. Repeat the process until all the dough is used.

5

Store cooled crackers in an airtight container for 1 week.

Tip: once the dough is rolled into the log shape, you can freeze for up to 4 weeks. Thaw overnight in the fridge before slicing and baking.
